Couture Tours NMSU

NMSU Presidential Finalist Barbara Couture had her chance Wednesday to tour New Mexico State University and speak to students, faculty, staff and the community.

Couture is currently the Chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is one of five finalists chosen to potentially lead NMSU.

“We have heard so much about the need for us to fulfill the promises of the future, I think New Mexico State University is well positioned to do that,” Couture said when asked about why she is interested in leading NMSU.  

Couture will speak at student, staff, faculty and community forums throughout the day, all in an effort to familiarize herself with the university and vice versa.

Couture’s Schedule for November 4^th:

11-11:45 Student Forum at Corbett Center Auditorium

1:15-1:45 Press Conference

2-2:45 Staff Forum at Corbett Center Auditorium

3:15-4:30 Faculty Forum at Corbett Center Auditorium

7-8:15 Community Forum at the Players Grill NMSU Golf Course
