Tuition increase
Regents approve 4.8 percent raise

The New Mexico State University Board of Regents approved a 4.8 percent increase in tuition for the 2007-2008 school year in a 4-to-1 vote Friday. The 5.2 percent increase, from both tuition and fees, totals $3.1 million, bringing the full amount for tuition and fees to more than $63 million.

Student arrests similar at NMSU and UNM

By Michael Sears For the Round Up The number of arrests in 2005 for drug and liquor law violations at New Mexico's largest public universities is similar. According to the 2006 New Mexico State University Safety and Security Bulletin, there were 78 arrests on campus for alcohol violations in 2005, compared to eight in 2004 and 21 in 2003.
Campus apartments offer students luxury

New Mexico State University Housing and Residential Life is preparing for the fall 2007 opening of the new student apartments located east of the Corbett Center Student Union. Chamisa Village Apartments will open in time for the fall semester, and will provide an alternative to off-campus housing for students who are sophomores or upperclassman.
